Tatted Jewelry

The patterns in this book are all my original tatted jewelry. The designs were selected by the publisher, who discovered my work by seeing it on Etsy. Some of the patterns are ones that I've already self-published, but have re-worked for this book. Also, there are 4 never-before-seen patterns. All are beautifully photographed, and include in-progress photos.
The book may be ordered directly from Annie's Attic.
Note to buyers outside of USA or Canada: since Annie's Attic doesn't ship overseas, I will also add some copies to my Etsy shop (as soon as I get some), and I do ship all over the world.

Playing with Picots

This is a book featuring motifs and bookmarks using various decorative picot techniques: long picots, graduated picots, broomstick picots, and Mrs. Mee's pearl picots, a technique introduced in an 1862 publication, and apparently forgotten since then.

There are 19 patterns in all: 9 bookmarks, 2 hearts (one of them large), 2 angels, 3 snowflakes, a tree, a cross, and an edging with corners.

Skill level is intermediate and advanced. Patterns are presented in both written form and diagram, and most of the patterns have more than one diagram to show the work in progress. Many of the patterns use split rings. The book includes instructions for using picot gauges, but whether you use a gauge is up to you.

This is a full size comb bound booklet (8 1/2 x 11 inches) with 44 pages plus covers. Here is a sample page:

Excellent new book for beginning shuttle tatters

Knots In Thread

Simple Instructions For the Beginning Shuttle Tatter

Authored by Sparrow Kelley

This book will teach you the basics of shuttle tatting. Tatting is a traditional form of knotted lace, and one of the few handmade laces that can not be replicated by a machine. Intended for the very beginner, it combines full color illustrations and step-by-step instructions to give you a complete understanding of the art.
